 Did you ever think of using your cell phone as a recorder for podcasts?  Well you can a couple of ways!  First, many phones today have recorders.  You can use the recorder funtion to create a file and send it to an email address like any other file.  If you want to record elsewhere, you can also use a cool site called Gabcast!  With Gabcast, you can actually set up phone numbers for your students where they or you can call to record or listen to messages or podcasts!

When you create a presentation or research paper, you can now publish it in a great new way!  We love flip books!  Check out www.issuu.com for a cool free tool to use to create flip books.  It is super easy.  All you need to do is to convert your document to a PDF and upload.  Give it a try.  We did!

Maps of War is an interesting website where you can watch video maps of many wars and historical events. See the events in just a few minutes!  We think it is pretty cool.  How about you?

I was recently involved in an online experience which helped me to really face the realities of the new world we live, in and the risks associated with it.  As an adult, I was able to recognize the fact that the contact I had received was perhaps unsafe, with different motives than my own.  The lesson it brought to mind revolved around the simple safety lessons I and we all may have taught our kids.. 

This is a great video which reviews basic techniques and tools in PowerPoint, while covering copyright principles!  It is interesting and really helpful information.  The presentation was given at the eTech Ohio 2008 conference and created by Professor Alvin Trusty.    We love it!
