Early Man
Now I know what a podcast is - it is a powerpoint with sound! Or a Flash movie!
I see one major problem. Although you have a screen, you use it only to post notes, to repeat what is said. If the technology permits, you should add illustrations to make it clear what you are demonstrating.
With pictures, whether stills, animations, or videos, you have a tool here that is useful for pre-school through high school.
Is it possible to increase the size of the podscreen to cover the whole computer screen? It is a bit hard to lean into the computer to see that small screen. It could be a problem for children with vision limitations.

Thanks for the feedback!
Good point! We have added a few pictures to some of the more recent podcasts and we will do so when we can. One issue with that is that the pictures really increase the file sizes and may make download more difficult for many users. We also want to keep them around 5-6 minutes long. It's a bit of a trade off to reach more kids. The technology allows us to make the podcasts a full screen size, but again, we don't because the file would take too long to download. However, once they are download, they can be made larger in the Itunes player. These are created with the hope that they will be portable. The power is in the repetition which occurs away from the site for many.
Technically, what makes them a podcast is that the RSS feed makes them subscribable. The students will get them automatically once they click on the rss feed to subscribe, and plug in their ipods. We have found this to be a BIG plus!
Thanks!
