We can hear you now? Some colleges mandate cell phone use?
Posted December 4th, 2007 by The Maze
Some colleges, including Montclaire State University (MSU) are requiring all first- year students to use a cell phone provided by the school. At MSU, students MUST activate their MSU Campus Connect phone, plan and options. The school states that the phones will be used for academic , security and community building purposes. Is it reasonable for colleges to require students to use a school issued phone? What privacy issues may arise as a result? What are the pro’s and con’s? Would you be willing to use a school phone?

no. i think cell phones are
no. i think cell phones are a private thing and should be monitered by the school, unless the are using it for cheating or anything else along those lines, or if it is being used as a disruption to the class it should be taken away. however i dont think the schools schould provide a cell phone. it is what the student does with it not the shcool that matters
