Students! Do you have what you need to succeed?

This video, which has been around the web for awhile, raises an interesting question.  Are we learning what we need in school today?  Can our education system catch up to the world we live in?

We think it can, and we are happy to see the strides being made by teachers to integrate the tools student's need into their classes.  Things as simple as incorporating a Moodle page into a class can teach students valuable skills needed for college and later work!

What do you think teachers can do to better prepare today's students?  Students!  Do you feel ready?  What can you do to better prepare?  We encourage you to step up and communicate with your teachers and schools and let them know, as these students have, what you need to be ready for your future!

We all benefit from the success of our education systems.  After all, the future of the world is in the hands of the graduates!

We thank the students of the spring 2007 Intro to Cultural Anthropology class at Kansas State University for this eye opening video!

sometimes i feel im prepared for tests. other times i do not. most of the time however teachers go over the topics well enough to do well on the tests. other times on topics not as importants teachers do not spend enough time going over the material even if it is not covered alot on the regents. there are stills test that counts for grades and the students need to still do well on them

Are we ready?

I am not ready for college. I dont think that the teachers these days are preparing us for what we have to do in college. When they say we won't be on you if you miss work, but really they are and when you are in college they don't care. in college you have to plan time and be careful how you use time and in high school you don't plan anything you really go with the flow.
